What are wrinkles?
Wrinkles are folds that form in the skin in response to a number of factors, the main and most unavoidable of which is aging. Indeed, with age, skin dehydrates and loses tone, causing these folds to appear.
Aging skin is not the only cause. In fact, a number of facial wrinkles are the result of repeated muscular contractions linked to our expressions. This is particularly true of forehead wrinkles.
Causes of wrinkles
While age is primarily responsible for wrinkles, a number of other factors, such as sun exposure, hormonal variations, smoking and diet, can accelerate the skin’s aging process.
